Thank you to all Broyhill Park residents for support of the Civic Association. If you have not yet paid your 2020 dues and would like to pay before the end of the year, we’ve setup a link on the website to pay through Paypal. The link is also shown below. The final newsletter for 2020 was distributed in early October. If you missed the newsletter, you can find it on the website (broyhillpark.org) under Neighborhood Info, or directly by clicking here. This year’s social activities concluded with the Halloween Parade on October 24. We hope to be able to resume our normal schedule of meetings and events next year, but that remains to be seen. In the meantime if anyone has any questions or neighborhood issues that need to be addressed, please send by reply email or contact the Board through the website.

TRASH, SPECIAL PICKUPS, RECYCLING
As many of us are aware, the county has temporarily suspended special pickups, yard waste pickups, and glass recycling. Do not place bulk trash or yard waste on the curb, as it will not be picked up at this time and there is no date as to when service will resume. Do not leave bulk trash items in the front yard; that is considered outdoor storage and is a violation of the zoning code. Items can be temporarily placed in the backyard where they are screened from public view. If you need to get rid of something right away, you can take it to the I-66 transfer station. Disposal fees for residential customers are listed here: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/publicworks/recycling-trash/residential-disposal-fees-and-regulations.

At the present time all volunteer activities in the parks are suspended, so the Broyhill Park Earth Day Stream Cleanup scheduled for April 18 has been postponed. This activity may be rescheduled in the fall, depending on conditions at that time.
