Butterfly Garden at the Broyhill Park Triangle
In 2016 a group of Broyhill Park neighbors decided to start a butterfly garden at the traffic triangle located at Graham Road & Strathmore Street. A small garden bed was dug along the east end of the triangle, planted with milkweed seedlings, and edged with daylilies to keep the thick turf from growing back. Since then the milkweed has grown and spread enough to keep most other weeds at bay and provide the beginning of a small monarch butterfly habitat. We hope to gradually enlarge the garden and add to it each year. All Broyhill Park neighbors are welcome to help with this project.
