Broyhill Park Triangle Clean-up / Plant Exchange / Free Tree Seedlings

Broyhill Park Triangle Clean-up / Plant Exchange / Free Tree Seedlings

SATURDAY, MAY 2
2:00-4:00pm

Triangle Clean-up
To all Broyhill Park neighbors: Help is needed! Please come to the Broyhill Park Triangle at Graham Road & Strathmore Street this Saturday at 2:00 to help with cleaning up the triangle and enlarging the butterfly garden. We are especially in need of volunteers to help with digging up grassy areas to enlarge the garden.  Bring shovels, work gloves, pruning shears, rakes, trowels, etc. - whatever you can help with will be appreciated!

Plant Exchange
Bring a plant, seedling, cutting, houseplant, or plant division from your garden and exchange it for another.  Any extra items that are suitable pollinator plants can be planted in the Triangle butterfly garden.

Free Tree Seedlings
We will also have 40 FREE TREE SEEDLINGS provided by Fairfax ReLeaf.  These will be given away two per household on a first-come, first-served basis. The only requirement is that these must be planted in your Broyhill Park yard, not sold or given away outside the neighborhood.  We don't have the varieties pinned down yet, but are hoping to get pawpaws and redbuds.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All participants will need to keep a distance from one another in accordance with current guidelines.
